Wanderer of Violet Skies

June 25, 2019May 18, 2020 / Shara Adams / Leave a comment

Beneath the dancing galaxies, she walked the path of forgotten worlds. The lingering mist sang their songs no longer heard by mortal ears. A simple traveler and her winged companion, now exploring the universe’s planets, moons, and stars. Retracing the steps of the lost civilizations, she knew they could not be brought back, but she … Continue reading Wanderer of Violet Skies

Betrayal

September 18, 2018 / Shara Adams / Leave a comment

Lifeless eyes meet mine through the small window of the padded room. I try to look away, but something in my heart wouldn’t let me. Her pale lips curve into a crooked smile that makes a shiver travel up and down my spine. A matted mess of dark knots float around her head, only giving … Continue reading Betrayal

My Vulnerability

November 15, 2017 / Shara Adams / 2 Comments

I don't remember when the shadows entered me; if they were always there, or found their way in. They are the demons I battle every day. With or without constant support, they will always linger in the back ground – waiting for the time to escape and strike. Hungry beasts, they feed on my emotions; … Continue reading My Vulnerability

“Whatcha think, Teddy?”  A charmed smile radiated beyond the little boy's lips; eyes full of a hunger to meddle with his curiosities. His imagination was ablaze and Teddy remained silent. He pressed buttons as fast as he could. The box spun and lurched, tossing him and Teddy across the box. The box spun out of control and he had no idea where they were … Continue reading Little Prehistoric Traveler

The Little Time Traveler

March 10, 2017March 14, 2017 / Shara Adams / Leave a comment

It was his masterpiece; a simple cardboard box created by a little boy's imagination. As a canvas for his markers, colorful lines swirled along the sides. Each line told a story of excitement and adventure: thrilling times for a little boy and his ever faithful companion. He held Teddy in his arms, knowing his friend's … Continue reading The Little Time Traveler

Cheap Vodka

February 28, 2017May 24, 2020 / Shara Adams / Leave a comment

Aaron was gulping down his anger with cheap vodka, hiding from the world to drown in his self-induced sorrows. It was a routine, at times – fighting then drinking, drinking then fighting. It was as if he wanted it to happen.

Insanity is only a perception made by those who have yet to attain its greatness. While those of us who have already stepped inside its bounds, find bliss in our utter madness.
